The mission of the Bismarck Cancer Center is to make locally available, the highest quality, state-of-the-art radiation therapy services to persons with cancer within the Bismarck service area. Such services shall be delivered, insofar as possible, without regard to reimbursement, and always in a supportive, compassionate, and caring manner, and will include needed wrap-around services to both patients and their families, educational services, prevention and early detection initiatives, and survivorship programs. The Bismarck Cancer Center was established in 1998 by then Medcenter One and St.Alexius to provide radiation treatment in our region. These two organizations, now Sanford Health Bismarck and CHI St. Alexis are still the governing body of our facility, however we operate independently. In 2007, the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation was formed to provide wrap-around services to those undergoing treatment at the facility. The first service offered was a social worker. Since then,
